Rare Hyracodon Fossil Skull, Badlands, South Dakota Oligocene South Dakota R1104

$2,999.95Price

Type: This is a nice fossil skull of Hyracodon nebraskensis.  It has 20 preserved upper and lower teeth.  I have restored the nose portion, the left cheek, a small portion of the back left mandible as well as the chin.  On the teeth I have restored all of the front teeth using exact anatomical casts.  Three of the left premolars and two of the lower right premolars are restored.  The skull measures almost 14 inches long and is a full adult.  Hyracodon skulls are difficult to come across.  Comes with a solid red oak stand which I have cut and sealed.  Will make a centerpiece to any white river collection.
